Saturday was a great day for walking. An even better day for the money raised to help fight MS at Canyon View Park.

For those who suffer from MS, life can be a challenge. On Saturday, over 400 people came out to Canyon View Park and helped to stomp out MS and raise money and awareness for this great cause.

This year, the turnout was even bigger than expected. With a silent auction, and money raised from the walk, $40,000 was raised. That is a great chunk of the $60,000 goal that was needed by organizers.

The money raised helps people with MS, get the things they need. Muscular Dystrophy effects men and women, and boys and girls of all ages. The money raised helps to conduct research, and get equipment needed to support the needs of those right here in the Grand Valley.

Amazing job by all who attended and helped to show how big the hearts of many are here in Grand Junction.
