The Daily Sentinel is reporting that 4 Grand Junction area residents have been arrested in a lottery sting that alleges these employees kept customers winning lottery tickets and tried to cash them in themselves.

Here are the details of what is alleged to have happened.

Four people in total are accused in the schemes that were uncovered in a sting operation between Oct. 12 and Oct. 15, conducted by officials with the Colorado Department of Revenue and the Colorado Lottery Enforcement Division.

All of the tickets used in the sting had winning amounts of at least $5,000.

One of the suspects caught in the sting, Todd Stenhouse, 35, an employee of Shell Monument Food Mart, 403 Jurassic Ave., faces felony charges of criminal attempt and forgery.

Three other suspects include Megan Stenhouse, Tracy Salyers and Jakob Eisenhauher.
